Manuscript Submission

Manuscript submission and editorial processing are carried out through an automated system using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which ensures transparent and traceable communication between authors, editors, and reviewers.

Manuscript submission and decision process include following steps:

  1. Fill out the author(s) information form (link), which, inter alia, includes a declaration on the presence or absence of a conflict of interest (in accordance with the Conflict of interest policy).
  2. Manuscript, prepared in accordance with the journal’s formatting requirements, submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform using the “SUBMIT” function on the journal’s website. In case of technical problems or the need for additional advice, please contact the official journal email publication@economic-prostir.com.ua

Note: The file name must contain the surname of the first author.

  1. Peer Review Process. The manuscript undergoes a two-stage review procedure: preliminary technical screening and full scientific peer review, in accordance with the established Peer Review Procedure. All stages are conducted within the OJS platform.

Review Outcomes. Upon completion of the double-blind peer review process, authors are provided with the evaluations of two (in some cases, three) reviewers based on ten assessment criteria, along with the reviewers’ comments for the authors. The editorial team simultaneously receives the reviewers’ reports and recommendations through the system.

The timeframe for receiving peer review results and the Editorial Board’s decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection in accordance with the review procedure) is up to 25 days.

In the case of successful peer review, authors will receive payment details for the article processing charge. Doctoral (third-cycle) students enrolled in publicly funded programs are exempt from the publication fee, provided that the article is single-authored.

Important: The article processing charge is payable only after a positive editorial decision has been made. Payment does not influence the editorial decision, which is based solely on the results of peer review. The fee is non-refundable in the event of article retraction (see Retraction Guidelines).
